Restored 1913 Pope Big Bore Motorcycle.

Pope Manufacturing Company was founded by Albert Augustus Pope around 1876 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Pope manufactured bicycles, motorcycles and automobiles from 1905 to 1913, motorcycle production ceased in 1918.

This motorcycle was restored by its owner taking over a year to source all of the parts.

The engine was rebuilt by Solenberg Racing in Shelbyville Indiana.

The wheels were rebuilt by Buchanan’s Spoke & Rim in California.

The nickel plating was done by Shelbyville Plating.

The seat was completed by the Saddle Shop.

The carburettor was rebuilt.

The frame castings, handlebars and gas tank were custom made from from photos in American Racer and AMA books.
