Restored 1935 Indian Chief Motorcycle.
This Indian Chief was restored by its owner over a 2 1/2 year period.
The 1935 year models were the first year of the streamlined fenders with the deep valance.
This Chief features the optional “V tank panels” with a red and black two color paint design.
The motor was completely and professionally rebuilt.
The crankcases were fitted with new bearings and races.
The cam cover was rebuilt with all new bushings and honed.
The oil pump was completely rebuilt.
The distributor was completely rebuilt with all new moving parts.
The primary chain and friction plates were replaced.
New bushings were fitted to the gearbox and the gears were replaced as necessary.
The cylinders were fitted new liners.
New pistons, valves, seats and guides were installed.
The correct Schebler DLX108 carb was rebuilt.
A new Cycle Electric 6 volt generator was fitted.
The frame and chassis were completely stripped, bead blasted, straightened as necessary, repaired, filled, primed and powder coated black.
New stainless steel spokes and nipples were used to rebuild the wheels.
The hubs were rebuilt with new bearings, felts and parts.
The brakes were re-lined and custom arced to fit the hubs.
All of the cables were replaced.
The twisters and grips were replaced.
A new seat was fitted.
The chain guard was replaced with a new item.
