Restored 1968 Ducati Scrambler Motorcycle.
This lovely Ducati was restored by its owner.
Each piece was refurbished, replaced, restored or at least cleaned and polished.
The engine was inspected.
The cylinder bore was in great shape, so it received only a light hone and a new set of piston rings.
The valve seats were reground and new valves and guides were installed.
The rocker arms were resurfaced.
New clutch plates and springs were installed.
The alternator was rewired.
The engine cases, cylinder and head were media blasted and the outer cases were polished.
All of the engine bolts were replaced with stainless steel fasteners.
A VHB29AD Dellorto carburettor was cleaned, rebuilt and installed.
The exhaust pipe and muffler were replaced with new reproduction items.
The original steel rims were badly rusted, so shouldered aluminium rims were laced on.
New brake shoes were installed front and rear, along with new sprockets and chain.
The hubs were polished.
The steering head was disassembled, cleaned, inspected and reassembled with new ball bearings.
The bike was completely rewired following the stock wiring diagram.
The forks and shocks were cleaned, serviced and new seals and rubber parts were installed.
The seat was replaced with a new reproduction from Italy.
The tank and fenders were stripped and repainted in an original yellow and black paint scheme.
The frame was repainted in black.
A great little Ducati well restored.
