The Honda CD175 was made from 1967 to 1979 and became synonymous with cheap touring and complete reliability. Virtually every working man in the 60 and 70s who had ridden a bike to work for years, replaced his old English single cylinder ‘knocker’ with one of these! They always started, did twice as much to the gallon, were cheaper to buy, smooth, quiet and many times more reliable and so needed very little maintenance! They were so very popular with the ‘No Frills’ – of necessity commuter.
This popular little Honda has had new wheel rims with new stainless steel spokes built onto the original hubs and brakes.
2 tyres and inner-tubes.
Spark plugs, points & condenser, suppressor caps.
Rear view mirrors.
Rear chain & sprockets and a number plate.
A complete new exhaust system.
The complete frame and both mudguards (along with several fixings and brackets etc) were fully shot-blasted and then professionally powder-coated
The petrol tank and other panels and parts were also professionally sprayed.
