Triumph Tiger Cub – 1959
Model: Tiger Cub
Engine Size: 200cc
Start Type: Kick
Drive Type: Chain
Restored 1959 Triumph Tiger Cub Motorcycle.
These rare “JR” Tiger cubs were designed for the American market and for riders 14 years of age to get their license. They are identical to the regular Tiger Cubs of the year with the exception of a restricted carburetor and the T20J stamping on the engine cases. They were designed to hold the horsepower to under 5bhp to allow for younger riders to obtain licensing in certain states.
The bike was fully restored from the ground up.
The engine was completely rebuilt from the crank up including:
NOS crank assembly.
NOS +.030 piston 7:1.
New and NOS bearings and bushes.
New valves and guides in the cylinder head.
A new exhaust was fitted.
The paint is original and still looks great.
The bikini fairings are fiberglass replacements instead of the original steel.
A very rare and unusual Triumph Tiger Cub Motorcycle.
