AJS was the name used for cars and motorcycles made by the Wolverhampton, England, company A. J. Stevens & Co. Ltd, from 1909 to 1931.
After the firm was sold, the name continued to be used by Matchless, Associated Motorcycles and Norton-Villiers on four-stroke motorcycles until 1969
Here is a restored 1930 AJS 350 bigport SB6 – lightweight saddle tank model.
The Engine has been fully rebuilt, this includes –
New crank pin and bearings.
New crank shaft bearings.
New piston, rings and rebore.
New valve guides made and new valves.
It is fitted with a maglita mag dyno which was reconditioned in 2002.
A new hand made wiring loom.
Original hand pump and leather tool box, the brake , clutch and hand levers are correct.
The Engine oil pump is mechanical with adjustable flow rate.
A very rare motorcycle restored to a high standard.
