Restored 1973 Yamaha SS50 Motorcycle.

This moped was stripped down to the frame.

All salvageable original parts and components were repaired, restored and re-finished.

The frame and swing arm were repaired, shot blasted to bare metal and powder coated in satin black.

All of the chrome-work was re-chromed where possible or replaced with new or genuine Yamaha parts.

All fasteners and fixings were re-plated with bright zinc or chrome as per the original factory finish.

The engine crankcases were vapour blasted.

The wheel hubs, brake shoe holder plates and the sprocket carrier were vapour blasted and lightly polished to match the original factory finish.

The wheels were rebuilt using original rims with stainless steel custom made spokes.

The original Yamaha speedometer was carefully opened and all components were checked, restored or replaced, including re-chroming the casing, cleaning the dial face and re-setting to zero.

The speedo mechanism was then re-calibrated then reassembled.

The front and rear mudguards were replaced with new genuine Yamaha parts.

The seat base was shot blasted and powder coated.

The seat foam, cover and cover strip were replaced with high quality after-market items.

All of the paintwork was professionally re-finished.

The engine was rebuilt with new bearings and oil seals.
