The bike hasn’t been ridden much. In fact its only done 37 miles in the last two years.
It starts easily. It’s very quiet mechanicaly and runs sweet. Very smooth with no rattles or knocks.
The current owner has listed it on eBay UK because he going overseas and can’t see the point of continuing to store it.
There is a file full of past documents and receipts with the bike showing a spend of over £1100 on parts, mainly from Allan Hitchcock. Although identified by the club as a burgundy de luxe model from 1961 it was repainted in sport colours as a matter of choice and had new 18 inch british rims fitted to ease the choice of rubber.
The dark colour on the tank is actually a deep red. It looks black in the pics due to the contrasty sunlight, not something the owner says he sees much of in Scotland!
There is a small chip out of the tank paint covered by a sticker.
It also has a new monobloc carb. It retains is original 1961 registration number.
It needs the kickstart and gearchange rechromed or you can fit a brand new indian replica one at little cost.
All in all a very fine example of Reddich engineering.
