Restored 1956 Simson Suhl Motorcycle.
This motorcycle with matching 1960 Stoye 2 sidecar was found neglected and pushed up against the wall in a German’s old pig barn in 2009.
Once found it underwent a complete restoration by its owner.
The engine was stripped and fitted with brand new bearings.
A new cylinder and head were sourced and fitted.
The piston rings were replaced when the engine as rebuilt.
Every bit of cable, rubber and wiring was replaced.
All of the metal was sandblasted.
Paint was applied to exactly replicate the original paint scheme.
The Stoye 2 sidecar was also stripped and rebuilt.
Everything was replaced except for the frame, wheels and body of the sidecar.
A show winning restoration this rare Simson Motorcycle.
