Triton motorcycles were not factory models but were hybrid bikes built in the 1960s and 1970s.
Triumph engines were fitted to Norton frames, the aim was to combine the best elements of each make.
Originally built as a Triton and first registered in 1970 this bike has had a complete restoration.
Frame: Norton 1959 Wideline (Dominator 99)
Frame, swinging arm, chain guard, hubs, rims, spokes, forks, front mudguard, engine plates, brake back plates, yokes, clip on’s, levers, headlamp shell, all powder coated.
New swinging arm bushes & steering head bearings, wheel bearings, brake shoes, tyres (K81 TT100), fork bushes & seals (Roadholders), Forks rebuilt.
New alloy Manx style fuel tank, and alloy oil tank.
Engine: Triumph 1961 T110 bottom end, 1969 T120 9 Stud head & barrels.
Full engine re-build, new shells, bearings, bushes, seals, pistons, rings, E31 34 camshafts, gaskets.
Cylinder head refurbished , new valves, valve seats, valve guides, valve springs, tappets adjusters, seals.
Lucas K2F Magneto refurbished.
Carbs rebuilt (Amal 389 Monoblocks), fuel filters, float needle seating’s, needle valves (viton tipped), stay-up floats, gasket sets, float chamber covers.
Gearbox: 1960 T110 Slickshift.
New bushes, bearings, mainshaft, quadrant return spring, plunger & plunger spring, kickstart return spring.
Primary : New rotor, stator (12v), primary chain, clutch.
Electrics: Boyer Power Pack (12v 180w), runs without a battery, rewired, all new switches.
A great classic marriage of Triumph and Norton back on the road.
