Restored 1947 Indian Chief Motorcycle.

This wonderful Indian has been totally restored.

All new old stock parts were used with the exception of a Kiwi speedometer and fender light.

The 74 cubic inch engine was fitted with +.010 oversize pistons.

The engine was completely rebuilt with new pistons, rings and roller bearings.

New valves, springs, keepers and roller rocker arms were used.

The oil pump was overhauled with new gears.

The primary chain was replaced and the primary chain cover and front brake plate were fully polished.

New clutch facings and a new release bearing was fitted.

The transmission was completely overhauled with all new bearings, gears, idler shaft, output sprocket, cluster gear and sprocket gear.

This motorcycle had a complete new exhaust, new kick starter arm, new drive chain and sprockets.

The electrical system had a new ignition switch, ammeter, new headlight, spotlights, rear tail light and a complete wiring harness.

All of the chrome was re-plated including the rear bumper, rear crash bars, front crash bars, control linkage rods, brake arms and the front and rear fender tips.

New handlebars, spotlight bar, windshield bar, headlight bars, and rear fender bars.

The wheels were completely overhauled with new chrome rims, stainless spokes and new wheel hubs.
