Restored 1969 BMW R50/2 Motorcycle.
The engine was totally disassembled, checked and resealed with new gaskets.
The valve guides were replaced and the stock bores were slightly honed.
New piston rings were gapped and fitted to the stock bores and pistons.
The transmission was disassembled and found to be perfect so it was resealed with new gaskets.
The front and rear shock absorbers were rebuilt and replaced to be as new.
The wheels were disassembled and new bearings and seals were installed.
The spokes were also trued at this time.
The carburettors were soaked in a stainless heated ultra-sonic cleaner and then BMW carburettor kits were installed.
The original paint was stripped off and repainted as factory original with hand pin stripping.
The drivetrain was reinstalled on to the frame.
The factory header pipes were reused but new mufflers were installed.
