Restored 1971 Ducati 450 Motorcycle.

This is a 450 Desmo F3 Replica built over a period of three years using all original parts except the ones used in the style and manner of the Ducati F3 Factory Road Racer form the early 1960’s.

The frame was stripped and painted gunmetal silver.

The fibreglass parts were painted light silver and pearl yellow.

The engine cases were split and walnut blasted.

All of the bearings and shims were replaced.

Due to low original mileage the cylinder only needed light honing while the original piston was used with new rings.

All of the valve gear was rebuilt as necessary.

The engine was fitted with a very desirable “Gear Gazer” that let’s you see things go around.

The carburettor was replaced with a brand new 30mm Delorto.

The wheels were built with flanged Akroni rims, stainless steel spokes and chrome nipples.

The front forks were replaced with 34 CM Marcocchi’s.

The seat was custom made.

The engine was fitted with a cable operated compression release to facilitate starting.
